The GIRTH MEASUREMENT is taken by placing the low end number of the tape measure on the top of the shoulder. The tape is then dropped down the back, pulled forward between the legs to the front, up over the belly and bust line then back to the starting point at the shoulder. This number is your girth measurement. The tape should never be loose, nor should it be pulled lightly, but comfortably taut.
